A prayer...

Reading scripture today I came across an intimate moment of Yeshua (Jesus) with his disciples. He is comforting them as
They are learning that he is going to be killed very soon. He prays for them and then prays for all of those who believe and who will believe. I don't know if you've ever read this but reading it today really affected me. Yeshua prays that all believers would be one, in unity, focusing on working together and not growing further part, so that others may believe in Him. He also prays so intimately His desire for us to be where He is. There are many times in my life that I pray with such fervor that God would bring all my family close to me. It is a prayer that comes from the deepest of my heart. I can only imagine that this is how Yeshua was praying that day. He wants to be with us so intimately, he wants to be with us like a Father, like a brother, like a Sister, like a best friend. He longs to be close to us. Here is His prayer...

"my prayer is not for them alone. I pray for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father just as you are in me and i am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.

Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me. I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them."
